Artist Aida Silvestri and Emma Boyd, Head of Marketing and Communications at the Sheila McKechnie Foundation (SMK) met up ‘to discuss the intersection between art and social change and to delve into Aida’s extraordinary contribution to change making and activism.’

Aida Silvestri is a visual activist whose multi-faceted practice amplifies marginalised voices and migrant communities – raising awareness of human rights issues and representational politics in the arts and beyond. Aida is also key member of Art Refuge’s Folkestone and Calais teams.
