In the CEDRE in Paris, the Community Table often takes on the form of a miniature theatre where small worlds come into being. Coloured plasticine is used to create unexpected meetings in these ephemeral worlds. One man sculpts a dog, a person, a shelter. A young woman makes fruit and flowers for the first day of spring. A pink kangaroo travels across the oceans to find a friend…
One young man, a regular visitor of the Community Table, has become particularly skilled at creating luxurious landscapes. He started tentatively, then, as his intentions became clearer, he learnt how to master the plasticine and bring it to life with a personal touch acquired over many sessions. Now he uses this malleable material like a painter.
Little by little, he has started inviting other people to join him in creating these miniature scenes. Collective creations - or epic journeys - where the colourful plasticine becomes a sea, a tree laden with fruits, an animal, a flag, a boat, a bridge, an aeroplane, a volcano…
Plasticine allows people to connect with their sense of touch, their imagination and invites playing : between sculpture, painting and staging of stories, these scenes come to life as we watch.
Lost worlds, dream worlds, possible future worlds, everything is possible here. The photographs keep a trace of these artistic collaborations.

Au Cèdre à Paris, la Community Table se métamorphose souvent en théâtre miniature où s’inventent de petits mondes. La pâte à modeler colorée devient le support de rencontres inattendues surgissant sur ces scènes éphémères. Un homme sculpte un chien, un humain, leur abri…Une jeune femme façonne des fleurs et des fruits, le premier jour du printemps. Un kangourou rose traverse les océans pour rejoindre un de ses compères...
Un autre jeune homme, qui vient régulièrement, conçoit des univers luxuriants. D’abord en tâtonnant, puis avec des intentions précises, il a apprivoisé la pâte à modeler, et lui donne vie avec une touche toute personnelle acquise au fil des séances : maintenant, c’est en peintre qu’il sculpte ce matériau malléable.
Dans ces épopées artistiques, peu à peu, il invite d’autres voyageurs à embarquer avec lui pour rejoindre la composition de ces scènes de vies miniatures. Se rejoindre et faire des créations collectives où toutes les idées prennent corps : devenue mer, arbre chargé de fruits, animal, drapeau, bateau, île, pont, avion, volcan…
Cette matière pâte à modeler connecte à la sensorialité, à l’imaginaire, et invite à jouer : entre sculpture, peinture et mise en scène, ces modelages prennent vie sous nos yeux.
Monde perdu, monde rêvé, monde à venir, tout est possible ici. En les photographiant ensemble, nous gardons trace de ces coopérations artistiques.
