AN ART REFUGE INTRODUCTION TO ARTS-BASED PSYCHOSOCIAL ACTIVITIES

Writer: Art RefugeArt Refuge

Updated: Nov 8, 2023

Event: Wednesday November 29, 12.30-15.00

There is growing interest in the role of the visual arts in supporting people who are displaced, seeking asylum and refugees. Art Refuge has received many training requests from artists, arts therapists, support workers, teachers, students and volunteers. We are responding with a short online introduction to arts-based psychosocial activities, drawing on our work over the past 8 years. Safe, playful experiential exercises will be included as a teaching tool, alongside some case material, theory and time for questions.
