WALKING 1000KM FOR ART REFUGE

From October 4-12, Art Refuge is stepping out with friends, family and colleagues to collectively walk 1000 kilometres and raise vital funds for our arts-based psychosocial support for people seeking sanctuary, in the UK and internationally.

At a time of heightened polarisation around migration issues, Art Refuge artists, art therapists and trustees are stepping out with friends, family and colleagues to collectively walk 1000 kilometres between October 4 & 12 2025 in the different locations related to our work/team.

The intention is to connect, reflect, bring some joy and raise vital funds for our ongoing arts-based psychosocial support for people seeking sanctuary, those who work with them, and adjacent communities, in the UK and internationally.

Money raised from this campaign will help us remain agile and light of foot in responding to when and where we are needed most. This includes our long term work in northern France and southern England, online support for a Sudanese staff team in Yida refugee camp, South Sudan, and other calls for our frontline training and skills-sharing as and when these arise.
