THE FÊTE OF BRITAIN

BRISTOL, 16th November 2025

Organised by @hardart.collective with @belowthebeltproductions and hosted by @roughtradebristol, yesterday’s fête @thefeteofbritain saw the coming together of community organisers, artists, musicians, dreamers and doers with a shared idea of challenging the current political climate which is eroding a sense of community, neighbourliness and society.

Collaborating again with typewriter artist Mitoshka Alcova @mitoshkaa who created a canopy of scrolls, we invited people to write and type their reflections and ideas on Britishness, belonging, community, resilience and hope. Across the day we were delighted to talk with artists, teachers, musicians, producers, creatives, students, free-party organisers and parents all feeding in to the collective energy that had the day buzzing with energy.

We managed to snatch moments to hear the earthy Old English sounds of @eveappletonband, got immersed in the dreamy progressive soundscapes from @Jamestormusic and topped it all off with the wildly energetic @transsiberianexpressmusic

The movement continues and will be making its way around Britain where there are rumblings of good things to come and the people to make it happen. Thank you Hard Art!
