REFUGEE WEEK - SATURDAY JUNE 25, 12NOON ONWARDS

Writer: Art RefugeArt Refuge

Tomorrow afternoon in Folkestone, local residents, artists and visitors are invited to a collaborative space for thinking about the coastal town of Folkestone as a home and place of welcome for refugees. Using hydrographical maps, shingle, sand and other materials, we will gather around The Community Table, a long table positioned on the beach overlooking the Channel for art-making and discussion around migration, togetherness and healing.

We will then move The Community Table to join the beautiful exhibition MOVEMENT, at Brewery Tap UCA Project Space as part of a collaboration across the day with Origins Untold @originsuntold@counterpointsarts@fstonefringe@creativefstone with funds from Kent Community Foundation.
