JUNE 13-JULY 13 Art Refuge takes part in SINK WITHOUT TRACE at P21 GALLERY

SINK WITHOUT TRACE - JUNE 13-JULY 13, P21 GALLERY, KINGS CROSS

This exhibition presents work by eighteen artists on the subject of migrant deaths at sea, and includes artists from Denmark, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Iraqi Kurdistan, Israel, Italy, Slovakia, South Africa, Sudan and the UK - currently living in France, Germany, Italy and the UK.

Through drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture and video works, Sink Without Trace offers alternative perspectives on a subject that is often only presented through the eyes of the media and politicians. The exhibition also includes documentation from the forensics project relating to the migrant boat currently on display at the Venice Biennale.

The exhibition will include found objects from shipwrecked migrant boats in Sicily, anonymous drawings made on migrant boats and works made by unaccompanied young people in Calais through Art Refuge UK and Secours Catholique. We are honoured to support those refugee artists represented from northern France.
