IS TA VIE DANS L’AMOUR”

Le Jardin La Semeuse, Les Laboratoires d’Aubervilliers

June 18, 2025

Setting off with our mobile kit including a huge typewriter, we trundled our way through the hot streets to our monthly presence in the garden la Semeuse. A fire was blazing in the bread oven under the baking sun. As a group of young children worked on a treehouse in the corner of the garden, another group of teenagers and young refugees made acquaintance and discovered the space, kneading the dough and joining us around The Community Table.

Collaboration, laughter and mutual support flowed throughout the afternoon as people took turns writing letters on the typewriter, dictating, and listening to the letters read aloud.

One young man talked about the importance of multi generational communities, and how challenging it can be to find spaces where you feel at ease, where vital exchanges can take place and relationships can form.

At the end of the afternoon he took the opportunity of a quiet moment around the table to write a long letter to the universe: “Love yourself, listen to yourself, live your life in love”.

Words by Kate France, Naomi Press & Elise Guillaume.
