COURAGE AND COMMUNITY

Refugee Week began with multiple welcomes within the @aidboxcommunity hub in St. Andrews, Bristol: staff and volunteers welcomed us, we welcomed people to The Community Table, and long standing members of the hub community welcomed us in to their space.

Across the session we talked with people newly relocated to Bristol. This included young families who were orientating themselves in a new city, learning bus routes, area names, where they could find English classes… As prompts in this new space, we had quotes on the Refugee Week theme of “Courage”, one of which was photographed by an attendee as she declared ‘this is my quote!’:
