WORKSHOP: BELONGING(S) with AIDA SILVESTRI - BRISTOL REFUGEE FESTIVAL

Updated: Jun 7, 2021

As part of Refugee Week 2021, the Bristol Refugee Festival will run from the 6th - 20th June and will present a hybrid digital/live programme of events. The theme this year is: We Cannot Walk Alone, Let's Walk Together. It is an invitation to reach out a hand of welcome and support to those who come to the UK seeking safety.

Aida Silvestri, one of the core team members of Art Refuge, will host a moving exploration of journeys through her migration project and objects that embody companionship. Attendees will then be invited to co-create visual dedications to their own treasured objects. Absolutely no visual art making skills are needed to fully participate in this workshop.

To book your free place and get the Zoom link, please email sarahrobinson@artrefuge.org.uk

Bristol Refugee Festival collaborates with organisations and communities across Bristol to promote better understanding as to why people seek sanctuary, help overcome misconceptions and support successful integration.
