24x24 DUNKERQUE

Exhibition: October 23 - November 28, 2025

Art Refuge is immensely excited to be present “24X24 DUNKERQUE” - an Exhibition of Photographs taken across 24 hours in June 2025 in around the northern France city of Dunkerque.

Using the same 24 photo prompts printed in multiple languages, 30 single-use analogue cameras were handed to: people on the move (les exiles), @medecinsdumonde mobile clinic team, and art students and staff from @esa_dunkerque.tourcoing.

The resulting exhibition of photographs is curated by artist Aida Silvestri with Art Refuge.

The project and exhibition mark our 10 year collaboration with @medecinsdumonde on the north France border. It offers the opportunity for contextual and artistic discussion, creative reflection, celebration and thinking forward into 2026. This, alongside a new audience of art students and staff, humanitarian workers, local artists, photographers, gallerists and residents from Dunkerque!

With many thanks to @esa_dunkerque.tourcoing for supporting the vision, exhibition and reception, and of course to the wonderful team at @medecinsdumonde.
