Fundraising Evening and Art Auction

On Wednesday March 17th we are holding a Fundraising Evening in London to raise urgent funds for amongst other things, the outfitting of the new classroom we will have in India. This is extremely important and exciting as we have never had a proper classroom in which to carry out the Art Refuge Programme. The new Centre has been in the works for the past few years and it is finally nearing completion. We have been promised a room all to ourselves and need to purchase everything for it: tables, benches, cabinets (the current ones are broken), blackboard, shelving, TV, DVDs, rugs, etc. etc.

We are also raising funds so that we can have a paid staff member here in the UK.

Our fundraising evening will comprise of an Art Auction of 87 paintings produced by Tibetan refugees in India. There will also be a slideshow of the work of Art Refuge UK; an arts and craft space for children, and food and merchandise for sale.

The auction will commence at 8pm with prices starting at £20.00.
